Edward Elliott
Edward was called to the bar in 2025. Prior to coming to the bar, Edward was a Senior Associate in the dispute resolution team at Ashurst where he worked on a range of complex litigated matters including class actions and civil penalty proceedings, as well as investigations by a range of regulators. He regularly acted for Australian and international publicly listed companies, large commercial entities, and senior executives.
Since coming to the bar, Edward has been briefed in a wide range of matters and appears regularly in the Supreme Court of NSW, the federal courts, as well was quasi-judicial and administrative bodies.
Edward practices across civil and criminal matters and has a special interest in administrative law, corporate crime, and health law. He is a member of the NSW Bar Association’s Accessibility Panel.
Edward graduated law from the University of Technology, Sydney and has a Master of Public and International Law from the University of Melbourne. After graduating, he worked for Judge Sang-Hyung Song, the then President of the International Criminal Court, in The Hague, before joining Legal Aid NSW as a graduate solicitor. Since then he has worked in a variety of legal and government policy roles, including as a solicitor at the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office and as a senior solicitor at AUSTRAC.
